Scott M. Browning, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Scott M.Browning, M.D. Colorectal SurgeonDr. Browning trained in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Since 1997, Dr. Browning has been a practicing colorectal surgeon (formerly known as a proctologist). Portland distinguished Dr. Browning as one of the city’s top doctors in both 2005 and 2010. While providing the full spectrum of Colorectal Surgery services, his areas of greatest interest include minimally invasive (Robotic, Laparoscopic and Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgical) procedures for benign and malignant colorectal diseases, office (nonoperative) and surgical management of anorectal diseases (hemorrhoids, fissures, fistuals, etc.) and Screening Colonoscopy for the prevention of colorectal cancer.

Jeffrey V. Manchio, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Jeffrey V. Manchio, M.D.Jeffrey V. Manchio, MD, FACS, FASCRS earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor. He obtained his colon and rectal surgery fellowship training through the Indiana University/Kendrick Colon & Rectal Center. In addition, he received one year of plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic. Specializing in colon and rectal surgery, Dr. Manchio has clinical interest in treating colorectal cancer, anorectal disorders, fecal incontinence, and performing colonoscopy. He also specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including the da Vinci robotic technique and transanal minimally invasive surgery.

Richard U. Kalu, MD, MPH

Richard U. Kalu, MD, MPHRichard U Kalu MD, MPH is a graduate of Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Henry Ford Health systems in Detroit, Michigan. In addition, Dr. Kalu obtained a master’s degree in public health at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Kalu has special interests in the management of inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), benign and malignant colon, rectal and anorectal pathologies, incontinence, pelvic floor diseases and colonoscopy. Dr. Kalu practices minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic, robotic, transanal) as well as traditional approaches for the management of these diseases.
